Poem ‘Meditation’

Sometimes I hate you, I must
avert my eyes.

Other times I love you
and I’m crazy, I can’t leave you

Mostly though I’m indifferent,
you’re something there out
of my window on any
random day,
like the sparrows who chat huddled
side by side
on their privet hedge.

But whether you’re friend, enemy
or mere acquaintance, you are all
intruders in this precious
secret space

smiles…makes me think of thoughts…esp in relation to the title…each one an intruder in that moment of sacred space…and its hard at times to silent them…

I sometimes feel that way…I sometimes just want to be in the solitude…the place from where I create and anyone feels like an intruder. I like this image:
“like the sparrows who chat huddled
    side by side
    on their privet hedge.”

So true. We want to “be with” and yet we want our space. We are a confused species.

Provacative! I always want to know a little bit more! I like this very much. It does speak to a certain mood I’ve felt lately. Hmmm.

Ah, a bravura performance. Deeply felt.

This is excellent, David, really expresses that sense of intrusion I think creative people, especially, feel from the outside world at times.
