Poem: Hope in Darkness
Someone’s made victims of us all
Played us for fools, so we’re left in their thrall
The beautiful world is stripped and bare
a mere shadow of what once was there.
But unlike some I do have hope
a guide in darkness through which I grope
There is another world we cannot quite see
where justice and love reign, forever free
