Progressive Rock Favourites: Yes, ‘Survival’

Progressive rock, classic rock, art rock… whatever you want to call it, this is one of my favourite pieces from the early song catalogue of British band Yes — captured live from 1969.

This line up shows Peter Banks on guitar and vocals and Tony Kaye on keyboards, a year before they were replaced by Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman, forming what some still regard as the ‘classic’ Yes lineup — there have been many changes since.

Eclectic rock might be the better word for this style of music. Yes went on to be one of the very best exponents of this genre, in my opinion.

Astrology and Health (part 1) — Astrology Musings

Astrology and health do go together, each sign of the zodiac is traditionally associated with a part of the human body.

The twelve signs begin with Aries and end with Pisces. Logically, when you visualise a human form, we start at the head and end with the feet, top to bottom. From that simple correlation, we can, for example, deduce that Aries ‘rules’ the head and Pisces the feet.

Interestingly, the Ram, or Aries, is known for butting heads – a battering ram, so it may not be surprising to find out that the head is often a weak point of this sign.

Similarly, if you look down at your feet, maybe you can imagine the glyph of the Fishes, or Pisces, which bear the whole weight of our bodies. Poor Pisces has to take on so much!

In this series of short articles, I will explore the health associations with each sign, plus how health issues can relate to factors in our far more individual birth charts.

*** It is very easy for us to neglect our health but during times like these it is especially wise for us to stay healthy and watch what we eat.
