There is something comforting about the style of the 1950s. I also love Americana, especially in black and white photography.

Take these brass saddles on a Fender Telecaster guitar, one of the earliest and most iconic models of all time. These saddles have a character and quality uniquely their own, still as gorgeous and functional as ever.

Toy London British Buses – ‘Made in England’

Another toy find in the loft. These are relatively modern examples of old London buses.

This is another example of the triumph of older styles, the wonderful coachwork. And of course the colour red is so emphatic once again.

There’s also the classic phrase ‘Made in England’, which we don’t see too often these days.
