Stop Judging and You Begin to Free Yourself — Share Your Light (Reblog)

We are talking a lot about unveiling the ego and letting go of its destructive grip. It is much easier said than done. For years, the ego has grown as part of our own development. Of course, it depends a lot on the inner steadfastness we had in our younger years and on how much […]

Astrology & Health — Libra, the Beginning of Fall (Autumn)

In astrology, Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac, ruled by Venus. It is the sign of cardinal, or dominant, air.

Libra begins with the autumnal equinox, where the sun’s path moves south of the equator, when the days and nights are of equal length. Perhaps for this reason, Libra is associated with balancing, justice, weighing up opinions as only an air sign can, in a cool and rational manner.

In physical health terms, the kidneys are traditionally associated with Libra, those two excretory organs either side of the lower back. This is often said to be likely weak point for those with Libra strongly emphasised in individual charts.

Equally, the endocrine system performs a similarly balancing function within the body, which is also associated with Libra. Interestingly, one of the major endocrine glands are the adrenals, situated above each kidney, the latter as we have seen being linked to Libra, whilst the adrenals are commonly linked to Aries, Libra’s opposite sign.

Those with Libra emphasised in their charts can also often suffer from headaches more than most; this is sometimes a result of kidney malfunction too, highlighting once more the polarising aspect between Libra and its opposite sign, Aries, which rules the head.

That said, as Libra is often an intelligent and fair minded sign, more typical individuals are usually very interested in their health and will usually have set in motion health regimes, involving diet and exercise, to stave off more serious health issues.

As the kidneys are a potential weak spot, keeping good hydration would seem to be especially beneficial to such types to help the proper functioning of these organs.
